Hi I'm John. I am a self-taught artist hat loves to create unique and stylised art. My work is driven by a love of bold colour, raw texture, and the expressive freedom that comes from working with brush and palette knife directly on canvas and canvas-board.
Each piece begins as an intuitive exploration — layers of acrylic are built up, scraped back, and reworked until the painting finds its own voice. The result is art that is both visually striking and deeply tactile; work that rewards close inspection as much as it commands a room.
I work from my home studio based in the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, England (and in my garden when it is sunny!).
